Seattle Early Dance will perform a selection of exquisite dances popular at the lavish European courts of the eighteenth century. Wearing charming colorful costumes the dancers will provoke delight with their nimble steps and graceful gestures. They will be accompanied by a talented trio of musicians playing on period instruments. A unique performance opportunity suitable for the whole family, this enchanting concert is not to be missed!

To audition students must be 12 to 18 years of age during the 2007 Summer Course. Registration with a $25 fee begins 1/2 hour prior to audition. Students should wear regular class attire and bring pointe shoes; no photos or resumes. Audition results will be mailed within one month of the audition date.


Ballet de Printemps Audition Notice

Ballet de Printemps is seeking male and female dancers with a strong classical and contemporary technique for the upcoming spring season 2007. Auditions will be held Sunday December 17, 2006 @ 1:30PM at 105 Bowser Ave N, Vancouver BC, Canada.

  • Professional contract and apprentice contracts available for 2007 spring season. Repertoire to include new ballet works presented at theatres around the Greater Vancouver areas. Contract dates vary, running through June 2007.
  • Female dancers to have strong classical technique en pointe. Male dancers to have strong partnering skills.
  • Professional and apprentice contracts available. Company positions not suitable for dancers who have not yet completed their training. Dancers must be able to work in Canada.
  • Dancers must pre-register for the audition by submitting artistic CV and one dance photo (females en pointe) to: bdp@balletdeprintemps.com
  • Out of town dancers may audition via DVD/video upon request

Lyrical Dance Class with Mary Lou Sanelli

This Lyrical style of dance combines elements of Jazz, Modern, & Ballet to create a discipline emphasizing technique, strength, & style. This class is perfect for those adults wanting “to get back into dance,” stay fit through dance, and have fun doing so. This class has a great dancer’s stretch workout, technique work, across the floor progressions, fun choreography, and a choreograped cooldown. Sanelli’s Lyrical class combines elements of Jazz, Modern, & Ballet to create a discipline emphasizing technique, strength, & style.
