Motionwear is Making Shoes

Motionwear is known for designing fabulous dancewear and offering many options in colors and fabric choices, but now Motionwear is taking on shoes as well.
Here is Motionwear’s Shoe Mission:
“Our study of dance shoes revealed questions. What does a dancer really need? What works and what needs improvement? How do we quantify the intangibles of a perfect shoe – make it break in to that sweet spot and stay there longer? How can shoes better protect a dancer’s feet?
With information in hand, our technical designers went to work and crafted a new generation of dance shoes; shoes that fit and perform to the highest level. We created shoes that are nicer to a dancer’s feet.”
209 Split Sole Canvas Ballet

The unique “Soft Touch” footbed is supposed to help reduce the risk of injury, and the breathable , flexible Mid Foot keeps feet cool and contours to the arch.
404 Jazz Boot

The lower topline cut reduces gapping and provides a flattering low profile. These shoes also have the “Soft Touch” footbed for injury prevention.
383 Dance Sole

The shoe that I am most excited about is the Dance Sole. These shoes are very much like Dance Paws. These soles have superior elastic-gripper strips that stay in place. These shoes deliver outstanding protection, and yet they are designed with less bulk for maximum floor feel.
Motionwear’s shoes have enough differences in design that they have been getting mixed reviews. Some people like them, and some don’t. Motionwear would really like to get teacher feedback in particular, and so they are offering two free samples of their shoes to teachers, but you do need to go through a retailer, like Centerstage, to get your shoes.
If you are not a teacher but are interested in checking out these shoes for yourself, come try them on at Centerstage. If you decide they are your perfect shoe, you will be happy to know that they are on special for the month of July.
The Canvas Ballet Slipper is on sale for $15 (regularly $18.50).
The Jazz Shoe normally is on sale for $40 (regularly $46).
Unfortunately the Dance Sole has not arrived yet, but we will be sure to announce their arrival here as soon as we get them.
