The Ghost Game: Dead Gods October 16, 17, 23, 24
Saturday, October 10th, 2009 - 12:31 pm
Last Halloween, I attended The Ghost Game. My friends and I had such a great time that I thought it should be an annual tradition, and maybe you will, too.
The Anunnaki Project is a Seattle-based nonprofit organization that was founded in 1999 by John Murphy. The mission of the organization is preserve the mythologies of cultures that have passed into antiquity, utilizing theatrical, storytelling dance performances, educational presentations, and a free online
encyclopedia of terms from folklore and mythology. The dancers, aerialists, and acrobats of The Cabiri are the theatrical emissaries for The Anunnaki Project, giving life to ancient tales.
The Ghost Game is an annual Seattle tradition, and features a variety of elements which make it truly unique and fun. The format is elegant, candle-lit dessert theater where guests are encouraged to dress up in costume or festive evening attire. As guests enter the venue, each table of 5 people draws an ancient
myth or folktale at random from a hat. Over the course of the evening, some of the stories are chosen and audience members are called up to be the storyteller for the piece. Other elements of audience interaction are also introduced throughout the evening, thus breaking down the wall between the performer and the audience. The spectacular dance, aerial and acrobatic feats of The Cabiri round out the festivities and guarantee a memorable evening for all who attend.
The Ghost Game is playing Oct 16, 17, 23 and 24.

Danskin Update
Monday, October 5th, 2009 - 10:38 am
If you are a big Danskin fan, here’s a little heads up to say that some of their products might be hard to come by towards the end of the year. Danskin is not going out of business, but they are going through a period of transition. Part of this transition means that they won’t be producing any more products until the new year. If you have a favorite Danskin product, now is the time to stock up while supplies still last.
