People often ask if men do bellydancing, and the answer is Yes!! During the 1900’s people did start frowning upon men doing Raks Sharki/Oriental Dance - what we usually call “bellydance”; however, some of the best bellydancers I have seen have been men. This YouTube video is of a male Egyptian dancer, so maybe, in the new millenium, the tides are turning. This guy is great!
